Characteristics[]
The Martian Series stages can be accessed by activating a rocket in the SR World Map. It has its own map which players must navigate to be able to return to the original SR World. Gravity in these stages is halved as compared to the original SR series, affecting projectiles, enemies and characters.
Seabed
The Seabed stages feature a relatively flat with occasional mounds of rock that characters have to climb over. Some frozen water, which has the slippery mechanics, can be found here.
Dust Ground
Except for the occasional pillars of rock and large boulders, the Dust Ground landscape is rather flat. Floating platforms, although rare, can be found. This stage has the Dust Storm effect, which is similar to the snowing effect found in the Snowfield stages. The amount of dust falling in a stage is entirely random. Any dust particle that touches a solid object will disappear. The sky color depends on the amount of dust falling onto the ground. The more dust there is, the darker the sky.
Crater
The Crater stages have a landscape reminiscent of the Cavern stages, as shown by the smooth yet distorted terrain.
Rocky Road[]
The Rocky Road stages have the roughest terrain in the Martian Series, with some irregularly-shaped floating platforms.
List of stages in the Martian Series[]
There are a total of twenty-one stages in the Martian Series.
